Meet our newest therapists.
Liz Stevenson is a graduate student intern working towards a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University, specializing in Child and Adolescent Family Therapy.
Liz previously received her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Elizabethtown College, and is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. In that capacity, she has worked with individuals and groups in the inpatient psychiatric, pediatric medical, early childhood/early intervention, and school-based populations serving clients of a wide range of ages and diagnoses since 2014.
Liz employs a person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, holistic, humanistic approach.
Elizabeth is a masters level Marriage and Family therapist. She earned a Bachelor's degree in human development and family science from Messiah University, followed by a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Kairos University. She has experience with adults, teens, children over the age of 6, families, and couples. She offers pre-marital counseling as well.
Elizabeth strives to create an environment of trust and safety with each client. She loves to support each client in establishing individualized goals and empowering each client to move towards those goals at their own comfortable pace. She aims to guide and empower you with tools needed to navigate life's obstacles and create lasting changes. The goal is to work together to foster healing from within and navigate a path towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Elizabeth utilizes a variety of techniques and skills drawn from recognized therapeutic modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Strategic Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems Theory.
